Q&A with Jasmina Vico

What is your signature treatment?

My signature treatments include “Everything everywhere, at the same time!” We also have some unique individual skin treatments that target different skin concerns or conditions.

From VicoGlow, Vico Laser Tech to Vico Elevate. I like to solve problems and observe the client’s lifestyle and genetics, creating a plan.

I’m like the skin detective: I establish the cause, not just the symptoms. I look at the skin as a canvas to create the action plan. I combine different lasers and medical machines for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne scars, mesotherapy, exosomes to name just a few, no treatment is the same.

Who are your clients?

We have clients from all walks of life. Those working in the art, fashion, film and entertainment industries, as well as high net worth individuals. We are happy to say that we are a destination as we have many clients who come to see us from Los Angeles, New York and Paris on a regular basis. We treat men and women and all age groups. We are truly grateful and beyond grateful for every customer as we build our VicoSkin community.

Face/Body or both?

We treat the skin. Any skin problem that you need to treat, we can fix it whether it is on the face or the body, if we are doing laser on the skin for pigmentation that can be in any area, such as scars or collagen loss, stretch marks, etc.

Universal skin care tips?

Start with your skin routine. Protect your skin from sun exposure, vitamin D is important but that doesn’t mean you have to overdo it. The sun breaks down collagen and elastin fibers, you can have all the right skin ingredients in the world and lasers to repair it, but prevention is always better than cure or correction. The skin remembers, damage is done in youth. Keep using SPF.

What would you like people to stop doing to their skin?

Overusing skincare products, experimenting at home, using skincare products that aren’t right for your skin, and jumping into every new skin fad. I would advise finding a doctor you trust and following the routine specifically recommended for you.

Any last words of wisdom?

Sleep is everything, this when the whole body is recovering and regenerating, your skin, your muscles and your brain, during sleep your body regenerates skin cells, keeps your hormonal system balanced, helps your skin rebuild itself and produce collagen. Sleep optimization is now one of the biggest industries. It is more important than ever to track your health, use magnesium, avoid HEV light and screens, and make sure you have enough vitamin D. New studies are emerging that show enormous importance and benefits for our circadian rhythm and our brain. Vitamin D regulates everything and for women it is especially important.

These are all wonderful tips!
