Today I’m going to talk about a brand I love that is owned by two friends of mine. Not only are they incredibly creative, but they’re also so kind. I met Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunado through a dear friend, Stacy Smallwood, who runs Hampden Clothing. Hampden has been a long-time supporter of Lizzie and her jewelry line. Since we introduced her years ago, it’s been so fun to watch the brand grow and evolve. Each season they offer high-quality pieces that feel unique while still being wearable. I’m excited to introduce you all to the world of Lizzie Fortunado jewelry!
ABOUT LIZZIE FORTUNADO JEWELRY
Lizzie Fortunado was founded in 2008 by Lizzie. Her twin sister Kathryn invested in the brand a few years later in 2010, and that remains the only funding the brand has ever received. Over the years, they have expanded their offering to include jewelry, handbags, belts, scarves, and even home goods. They have an amazing studio in SoHo, New York, and you can read much more about their story and their deep passion for what they do here.
I have always been impressed by how careful they are with the materials they use and the craftsmanship of the pieces, but also by their desire to grow the business. Their pieces speak for themselves and I think part of their success has been their storytelling and their deep, authentic connections with other women in the industry. To know them is to love them!
LIZZIE FORTUNADO CLASSICS
The brand doesn’t typically follow trends, so many of their pieces are meant to be mixed and matched season after season. While they will create more editorial pieces with each release, they will always have a great variety of jewelry for everyday wear. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite Lizzie Fortunado jewelry pieces and how I style them.
LAGOON NECKLACE
The Laguna necklace is a classic and comes in six amazing colors this season. It’s a great way to add a statement touch to a classic combination. Here I paired it with their Porto chain (which you can add charms to like this one) and the Confetti Letter Necklace. While I paired this combination with a very vibrant print, this line of jewelry would also look great with a pair of straight leg jeans and a white everyday tee.
ORGANIC HOOP EARRINGS
For years, earrings weren’t my thing, but that quickly changed about five years ago. Now I feel naked without them! The organic mini hoop earrings are a great size – they’re not exactly statement earrings, but they’re not a shy piece either. They’re perfect for an everyday look. The color range is wonderful too, from the mocha I’m wearing (which looks sophisticated and timeless) to the clear flamingo for a more playful moment. I paired them with the Laguna necklace and the reef bead necklace which has a cool coral pop. This dress, which I’ve worn repeatedly, has an amazing neckline to show off these LF jewels.
THE RESIN BRACELET
I’m saving the best for last: Lizzie Fortunado’s line of resin bracelets. They’re lightweight, easy to wear, and fun to mix and match. The Arc bracelet and the Ridge bracelet are my two go-to’s when it comes to cuff bracelets. I’m wearing a brown-hued line here, but don’t miss the colors on these bracelets! The mottled aquamarine would look so chic with a tan hue, and the clear options are so fun and original.
