Come to Food52 HQ for our Cookbook Club Candy Swap on December 5

After a festive Thanksgiving, we’ll keep the Food52 Cookbook Club meetings going with a Christmas-themed candy swap! This time, we will bake and share deliciousness Dolci! By Renato Poliafito. If you were a fan of his longtime Brooklyn bakery, Baked, or a fan of Ciao, Gloria in Prospect Heights, then you know Renato is a master of cookies, cakes, and irresistible treats. In her new cookbook, she gives Italian classics an American twist and will arrive at Food52 headquarters on December 5 with cookies from Dolci! to exchange with our club.

Together we’ll pool our treats to create a holiday table filled with sweet and savory (but mostly sweet) recipes from the book, like her Spumoni Loaf (essentially a giant rainbow cookie), her delicious Caramel Amaretto Brownies, and dozens of cookies. .

To join:

  • Get a ticket. (By purchasing a ticket and/or participating in this event, you acknowledge and agree to our Terms and Conditions linked here.)

  • Take a copy of Dolci! (Borrow it from a library or a friend if you don’t have one)

  • Choose a recipe that catches your attention. (Join our Baking Club on Facebook to see which recipes our members loved)

  • Make a batch to share.

Once you register, you will receive a registration sheet so you can let us know what you are bringing. (We’ll provide everything else, including cocktails and drinks.) Renato will sign copies of Dolci! Also, so bring your own! Prepare your treats ahead of time and list the ingredients on the cards we’ll provide for easy sharing. And as a thank you for participating, you’ll walk away with a gift bag and be entered to win a sweet prize for your holiday baking or hosting.
